This is achieved by way of conducting talks, seminars, presentations, workshops, film festivals and other activities organized by the cell. The cell is equipped with a professional counselor to deal with a student's problems and offer solutions to them.

The Industrial Visit Perspective

The concept of Industrial visits has been woven into the academic practices of the institute keeping in mind that experiential learning is the ethos of CGC. The motive is to provide the students with a right blend of theoretical learning and an opportunity to witness the actuality of practical environment.
The visits provide an excellent opportunity for the students to comprehend the complexities faced by the organizations in various stages and the implications that decisions have. Students also get to know about the intra and interdepartmental linkages within the organization and understand behavioral aspects within an organization.
The larger aim of the visits is to make the students relate to the value-chain as followed by firms in the Industry. Value chain refers to processes and activities right from the sourcing of raw materials to the point where the final product reaches the end user .
Exposing the future workforce to the actual field work, industrial environment, state-of the- art science and technology adapted in machineries and equipment operations and industrial practices provide ways to relate classroom theories with actual industrial experiences at the cognitive level of the students. The visits to the industry broadens the mental orientation of the students and also give the true picture of the on- going work. One of the strengths and attractions of academic and vocational institutions to prospective students is their ability to link with important industries, derive mutual support and later access employment opportunities for College pass outs. Familiarity to industrial process, close coordination and linkages form solid grounds for the industry to rely heavily on educational institutes with which they have ongoing linkages with to supply the manpower needed under any given circumstances. Employment prospects amongst students, in turn, are heightened by deeper familiarity with existing industrial systems.

Community Services

Participation in community development services such as AIDS awareness, adult literacy, prevention of child abuse, women empowerment, prevention of use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs etc. is an integral component of teaching learning process to sensitize students on social and human issues. Involvement in such activities in the campus, adjoining villages and cities not only helps in individual growth by learning to think beyond self but also helps to contribute constructively towards the society.

The College envisions building up an educational system that not only proves to be an enriching experience for its students, but also helps to cultivate values such as empathy, humility and compassion. Participation in community development services help students to become familiar with the realities of life and get a better insight into the lives of the disadvantaged sections of the society. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to take up small projects on topics related to hehcare, conservation of natural resources, income-generating enterprises and social issues. The College, through these developmental programs, aCGC to infuse leadership, sensitivity and team spirit qualities among the students.

Further, the education at City Group of Collegesis not aimed at boasting about what one has, but in the realization that God has made them capable enough to share their joys with the ones who have been deprived of wholesomeness. Every small opportunity that comes in the way inspires our students to share their affection and joy with the marginalized section of the society, be it the orphans or the challenged – visually, mentally, deaf & dumb or the slum-dwellers. College students help their communities in a variety of ways, from tutoring and mentoring children, to raising funds for worthy causes. Students organize fun-filled educational and recreational activities along with the donation of educational material, clothes, toys, food items etc.
